Indications
Controlip-160 is indicated for the treatment of hypertriglyceridemia and mixed dyslipidemia in patients with elevated triglyceride and cholesterol levels. Its use is especially recommended in patients who have a risk of cardiovascular disease and who have not been able to control their lipid levels solely with diet and exercise changes. In addition, it can be used as a supplement for reducing LDL cholesterol in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia. It is important that treatment with fenofibrate be carried out under the supervision of a physician, who will assess its necessity according to the patient's characteristics and the severity of their condition.
Composition
Each Controlip-160 capsule contains 160 mg of fenofibrate as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Controlip-160 is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to fenofibrate or to any component of the formulation. It should not be administered to patients with active liver disease, severe kidney disease, or those with pancreatitis. Its use is not recommended during pregnancy and lactation unless considered essential under medical discretion.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Controlip-160 in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. Regular monitoring of liver function during treatment, as well as creatinine levels, is important. In addition, possible interactions with other medications, especially those affecting lipid metabolism, should be evaluated.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
