Indications
Continental is indicated for the treatment of urinary incontinence and urinary urgency in adult patients. Solifenacin, its active ingredient, acts as an antimuscarinic that reduces the activity of the detrusor muscle of the bladder, helping to control frequent and urgent urination. This medication is useful in situations where episodes of stress or urge urinary incontinence occur, thus improving the quality of life of patients.
Composition
Each Continental tablet contains 10 mg of solifenacin as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
Continental should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to solifenacin or any other component of the formulation. It is contraindicated in individuals with urinary retention, closed-angle glaucoma, and myasthenia gravis, as well as in those with severe renal insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of intestinal obstruction, moderate liver or kidney disease, as well as in those who are taking other medications that may interact with the effect of solifenacin. It is important to monitor for adverse reactions and adjust the dose if necessary.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
