Indications

Concor AM is indicated for the treatment of essential arterial hypertension in adults. The combination of bisoprolol, a beta-blocker, and amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, provides a synergistic effect that helps reduce blood pressure and improve cardiovascular control. Its use may be considered in patients who require combination therapy to achieve better efficacy in lowering blood pressure, as well as in those with additional cardiovascular risk factors.

Composition

Each Concor AM tablet contains:
- Bisoprolol: 5 mg
- Amlodipine: 5 mg

Contraindications

This medication should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It is contraindicated in patients with decompensated heart failure, cardiogenic shock, severe bradycardia, second or third-degree heart block without a pacemaker, and in those with sick sinus syndrome. Furthermore, its use is contraindicated in patients with severe hepatic insufficiency.

Precautions

It is recommended to use Concor AM with caution in patients with a history of asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, as well as in those with diabetes mellitus, as bisoprolol can mask the symptoms of hypoglycemia. Continuous monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is important during treatment. Likewise, caution should be exercised in patients with moderate to severe renal insufficiency.

Storage

Keep the medication in its original packaging, at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
