Indications
Concor 5 mg is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension and chronic heart failure. This medication acts as a selective beta-blocker, meaning it blocks the action of certain chemicals in the body that can increase blood pressure and heart rate. Its use may also be indicated in patients with angina pectoris, as well as for the prevention of atrial fibrillation episodes.
Composition
Each Concor 5 mg tablet contains 5 mg of bisoprolol as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that aid in the formulation of the medication, ensuring its stability and efficacy. It is important to review the complete list of excipients on the product packaging.
Contraindications
Concor is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bisoprolol or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in cases of severe bradycardia, second or third-degree atrioventricular block, decompensated heart failure, or cardiogenic shock. It is also contraindicated in patients with bronchial asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of pulmonary disease, diabetes mellitus, hypoglycemia, or peripheral vascular disease. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is suggested, especially when starting treatment or adjusting the dose.
