Indications

Concor 10 mg is a medication indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and for the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with coronary heart disease. It is also used in the treatment of chronic stable heart failure. Bisoprolol, its active ingredient, works by decreasing heart rate and myocardial contractility, which reduces the heart's workload and improves its efficiency. This medication can also be used as part of a therapeutic regimen that includes other non-pharmacological measures, such as diet and lifestyle changes.

Composition

Each Concor tablet contains 10 mg of bisoprolol as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that allow for its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

Concor is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to bisoprolol or any component of the formulation. It is also contraindicated in those with severe bradycardia, second or third-degree atrioventricular block, cardiogenic shock, decompensated heart failure, and acute bronchial asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering bisoprolol to patients with a history of obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorders, and those undergoing surgery, as it may alter the cardiovascular response. Blood pressure and heart rate monitoring are recommended during treatment.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
