Indications
Concor is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension. Its use is suitable for reducing heart rate and blood pressure in patients with hypertension. It is also used in chronic stable heart failure, where it helps improve heart function and the patient's quality of life. Bisoprolol, its active ingredient, acts as a selective beta-blocker, meaning it preferentially blocks beta-1 adrenergic receptors in the heart, thereby decreasing heart rate and the force of contraction of the heart muscle. It is important that treatment with Concor be supervised by a physician, who will determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's needs.
Composition
Each tablet contains 1.25 mg of bisoprolol and excipients.
Contraindications
Concor is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bisoprolol or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in individuals with severe bradycardia, second or third-degree AV block, uncontrolled heart failure, bronchial asthma or severe obstructive pulmonary diseases, as well as in cases of cardiogenic shock.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes mellitus, peripheral vascular disease, or thyroid problems. Regular medical monitoring is recommended to adjust the dose and monitor the response to treatment.
