Indications
Conazol Cream is indicated for the treatment of fungal skin infections, such as ringworm (tinea corporis, tinea pedis, tinea cruris), cutaneous candidiasis, and other superficial mycoses. Ketoconazole works by inhibiting the growth of fungi and yeasts by interfering with the synthesis of ergosterol, an essential component of these organisms' cell membranes. This medication is effective in the treatment of seborrheic dermatitis and other skin conditions where a fungal infection is suspected. It is recommended to apply the cream to the affected area once or twice a day, as directed by a physician.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains 2 g of ketoconazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients such as cetyl alcohol, glyceryl stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Conazol Cream is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ketoconazole or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be applied to open wounds or mucous membranes. Its use in children under 12 years of age should be evaluated and supervised by a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Conazol Cream in patients with a history of allergic reactions to antifungals. In case of irritation or adverse reaction at the application site, treatment should be discontinued and a physician consulted. It is important to avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
