Indications

Comenter (mirtazapine) is indicated for the treatment of major depression in adults. It can also be used in the management of anxiety disorders where pharmacological intervention is required to improve the patient's emotional state. Mirtazapine acts on serotonin and noradrenaline receptors, contributing to an improvement in mood and quality of life for patients suffering from these disorders. Mirtazapine has been shown to have a favorable efficacy profile compared to other antidepressants, especially in patients who do not respond adequately to previous treatments.

Composition

Each tablet contains 30 mg of mirtazapine as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as lactose monohydrate, starch, and other inert components that facilitate the formulation of the medicine.

Contraindications

Comenter is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mirtazapine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients who are receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) due to the risk of severe adverse reactions.

Precautions

Special care should be taken when administering Comenter to patients with a history of seizure disorders, liver or kidney disease, and those with a history of suicide or self-harm.
