Indications
Combantrin 250 mg is indicated for the treatment of intestinal infections caused by nematodes, such as Enterobius vermicularis (pinworms), Ascaris lumbricoides (roundworms), and Ancylostoma duodenale (hookworms). This medication works by paralyzing the parasites, allowing their expulsion from the body through feces. Its use is recommended in patients who present symptoms of parasitic infestation, such as anal itching, abdominal pain, and changes in bowel habits. It is important to make an accurate diagnosis and confirm the presence of parasites before initiating treatment.
Composition
Each Combantrin tablet contains 250 mg of Pyrantel (as Pyrantel Pamoate) as an active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate the formulation and administration of the medication.
Contraindications
Combantrin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Pyrantel or any of the formula's components. It should not be administered to patients with severe liver problems or those with intestinal obstruction.
Precautions
