Indications

Co-Degregan is indicated for the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with acute coronary syndrome, as well as in those who have suffered a myocardial infarction or ischemic stroke. This medication is used in dual antiplatelet therapy to reduce the risk of thrombosis in patients with coronary artery disease, especially in those who have undergone procedures such as angioplasty. The combination of clopidogrel and acetylsalicylic acid acts by inhibiting platelet aggregation, which decreases the possibility of clot formation that can lead to serious complications such as heart attacks or embolisms.

Composition

Each tablet of Co-Degregan contains 75 mg of clopidogrel and 100 mg of acetylsalicylic acid.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with a history of allergy to any of the components of the formula, in those with active peptic ulcer, bleeding disorders, or severe liver failure. Additionally, its use is not recommended in patients who are receiving treatments that may increase the risk of bleeding.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding, moderate renal or hepatic impairment, as well as in those who are scheduled to undergo surgical procedures. It is important to inform the doctor about all medications the patient is taking to avoid interactions. Patients should be monitored for signs of bleeding.
