Indications

Clopsine (Clozapine) is indicated for the treatment of resistant schizophrenia in patients who have not responded adequately to other antipsychotic treatments. It can also be used in the management of symptoms of psychotic disorders in patients requiring a more intensive therapeutic approach, as well as in cases of schizoaffective disorder. Careful patient monitoring is essential due to the risk of agranulocytosis, which can be potentially severe.

Composition

Each Clopsine tablet contains 100 mg of clozapine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.

Contraindications

Clopsine is contraindicated in patients with a history of clozapine-induced agranulocytosis or leukopenia, in those with severe cardiovascular disease, and in patients receiving other medications that may affect bone marrow. Its use should also be avoided in patients with known hypersensitivity to clozapine or any of the excipients in the formulation.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Clopsine to patients with a history of seizures, liver or kidney disease, as well as those with a history of substance abuse. Regular blood count tests are recommended to monitor for the possible occurrence of hematological adverse effects. It is also important to continuously evaluate the patient's mental health status to adjust therapy as needed.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep the product out of reach of children.
