Indications
Cloisone is indicated for the treatment of Parkinson's disease and Parkinson's syndrome. This medication is used to relieve symptoms related to dopamine loss in the brain, such as rigidity, tremor, and difficulty moving. Levodopa is converted to dopamine in the brain, while Carbidopa helps prevent Levodopa from converting to dopamine before reaching the brain, thereby improving treatment efficacy and reducing side effects.
Composition
Each Cloisone tablet contains 250 mg of Levodopa and 25 mg of Carbidopa as active ingredients. It also contains excipients necessary for the medication's formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the formula's components, in those with narrow-angle glaucoma, and in patients with a history of melanoma or malignant skin disease. Its use is not recommended in cases of severe heart conditions and uncontrolled psychiatric disorders.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Cloisone to patients with a history of cardiovascular problems, as well as those with depression or psychiatric disorders. Regular medical follow-up is recommended to adjust the dose according to the patient's response and the appearance of adverse effects. Additionally, alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment.
Storage
Store Cloisone at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep the medication in its original packaging, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
