Indications
Clobesol 0.05% Cream is indicated for the treatment of various corticosteroid-responsive dermatological conditions, including atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, and discoid lupus erythematosus. This medication works by reducing inflammation, redness, and itching of the skin. Its use is recommended for inflammatory lesions that have not responded to less potent treatments and in cases where a stronger anti-inflammatory effect is required.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains: Clobetasol propionate 0.05 g. Excipients: purified water, petrolatum, lanolin, cetyl alcohol, among others.
Contraindications
Clobesol Cream should not be used in patients with known hypersensitivity to clobetasol or any other component of the formulation. It is contraindicated in viral skin infections (such as herpes simplex or chickenpox), tuberculosis, and fungal skin lesions, as well as in rosacea and perioral dermatitis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when applying Clobesol to large areas of skin or in skin folds, as this may increase systemic absorption of the drug. Its use on the face, especially in children, is not recommended unless indicated by a physician. Prolonged use can lead to adverse effects, including skin atrophy. It is important to avoid contact with the eyes.
Storage
Store in its original container, at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
