Indications
Climene is indicated for the treatment of menstrual disorders and symptoms related to menopause in women. It is also used as a hormonal contraceptive in women who require regulation of their menstrual cycle. Estradiol valerate, an estrogen, helps stabilize the menstrual cycle and relieve symptoms such as hot flashes, while cyproterone, a progestogen, acts as an ovulation inhibitor and can be useful in the treatment of hormonal disorders.
Composition
Each Climene tablet contains 2 mg of estradiol valerate and 1 mg of cyproterone. Additional excipients that may be present in the formulation include lactose, corn starch, and other inactive components that facilitate the manufacturing and stability of the product.
Contraindications
Climene is contraindicated in patients with a history of venous or arterial thrombosis, active liver disease, breast or endometrial cancer, as well as in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Its use is not recommended in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Climene in women with a history of migraines, high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, or coagulation disorders. Regular medical follow-up during treatment is essential to evaluate the appearance of adverse effects and the efficacy of the medication.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
