Indications
Clexane (enoxaparin) is indicated for the treatment and prevention of venous thromboembolism in surgical and medical patients. It is used for the prevention of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism in patients at risk of developing these conditions. In addition, it is used in the treatment of patients with acute myocardial infarction and in the prevention of thromboembolic events in patients with atrial fibrillation. Enoxaparin acts as a low molecular weight anticoagulant that inhibits the formation of blood clots, thereby improving circulation and reducing the risk of serious complications associated with thrombosis.
Composition
Each syringe contains enoxaparin sodium equivalent to 40 mg of enoxaparin. Excipients: water for injection, sodium chloride, acetic acid and hydrochloric acid to adjust pH.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to enoxaparin or any of the excipients, as well as in those with a history of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT). It is also contraindicated in patients with active bleeding or severe bleeding disorders.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients at risk of bleeding, uncontrolled hypertension, recent injuries, or major surgery. It is important to monitor renal function in patients with renal impairment and make dose adjustments if necessary. Platelet function should be assessed before and during treatment.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
