Indications
Clexane (Enoxaparin) is indicated for the prevention and treatment of venous thromboembolism in patients undergoing orthopedic or abdominal surgery. It is also used in the prevention of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE) in hospitalized patients. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of patients with acute coronary syndrome, including acute myocardial infarction. Enoxaparin acts as an anticoagulant, inhibiting the formation of blood clots and improving blood flow in at-risk situations.
Composition
Each Clexane syringe contains 20 mg of Enoxaparin (as Enoxaparin sodium) in a sterile solution, ready for injection.
Contraindications
The use of Clexane is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to enoxaparin, other components of the formula, or any heparin. It should not be administered in cases of active bleeding, severe bleeding disorders, or in patients with thrombocytopathies. It is also contraindicated in patients who have recently suffered a hemorrhagic stroke or in those who are in a state of shock.
Precautions
Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of peptic ulcers, uncontrolled hypertension, or those who are on concomitant treatment with other anticoagulants. Adequate monitoring of renal function is suggested, especially in elderly patients and in those with renal insufficiency.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not freeze.
