Indications

Clendix 300 mg is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to clindamycin. It is used to treat skin and soft tissue infections, respiratory tract infections, dental infections, as well as osteomyelitis and other severe infections caused by anaerobic bacteria. This medication is especially useful in patients allergic to penicillin or who show resistance to other antibiotics.

Composition

Each Clendix capsule contains 300 mg of clindamycin (in the form of clindamycin hydrochloride) as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Clendix is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clindamycin, clindamycin hydrochloride, or any of the excipients in the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of antibiotic-associated colitis, as well as in those with severe gastrointestinal diseases.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of colitis, liver or kidney disease. It is important to monitor liver and kidney function during treatment. In case of severe diarrhea, the possibility of pseudomembranous colitis should be considered, and treatment should be discontinued. Prolonged use of the drug without medical supervision is not recommended.

Storage

Clendix should be stored in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
