Indications
Clavulin is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to the combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid. These infections may include, but are not limited to, upper and lower respiratory tract infections (such as sinusitis, otitis media, and pneumonia), urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, as well as dental infections. The combination of amoxicillin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic, with clavulanic acid, a β-lactamase inhibitor, allows for overcoming the resistance of some bacteria, resulting in greater therapeutic efficacy.
Composition
Each Clavulin tablet contains 500 mg of amoxicillin (as amoxicillin trihydrate) and 125 mg of clavulanic acid (as potassium clavulanate).
Contraindications
Clavulin is contraindicated in patients with known allergy to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, other penicillin-group antibiotics, or any of the product's excipients. It should also be avoided in patients with a history of cholestatic jaundice or hepatic dysfunction associated with the use of amoxicillin/clavulanic acid.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as those with a history of allergies to other medications. It is important to monitor patients who develop diarrhea, as it may be a sign of pseudomembranous colitis. Clavulin should be used with caution in patients with infectious mononucleosis, as it may induce skin rashes.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
