Indications
Clavulin 12H 875 mg/125 mg is an antibiotic indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections. It is effective in the management of upper respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis, otitis media, and pharyngitis, as well as lower respiratory tract infections, including pneumonia and bronchitis. It is also used in the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, and some dental infections. Its combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid offers a broader spectrum of antimicrobial activity, overcoming the resistance of some beta-lactamase-producing bacteria.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Amoxicillin 875 mg and Clavulanic Acid 125 mg.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillin group antibiotics or to any component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with a history of jaundice or hepatic dysfunction associated with the use of amoxicillin/clavulanic acid.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, renal dysfunction, or those receiving treatment with other medications that may affect liver function. It is important to monitor renal function in patients with pre-existing conditions. If allergic reactions develop, treatment should be discontinued immediately.
Storage
Store the product in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use the medication after the expiry date indicated on the package.
