Indications

Clavulin 12H 875 mg/125 mg is an antibiotic indicated for the treatment of infections caused by susceptible bacteria. It is used in the treatment of various infections, including:

  • Respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis, otitis media, and bronchitis.
  • Urinary tract infections, including cystitis and pyelonephritis.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Dental and periodontal infections.
  • Intra-abdominal infections.

The combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid enhances the antibiotic's action, extending its spectrum of activity and helping to combat bacteria resistant to other antibiotics.

Composition

Each tablet contains:

  • Amoxicillin (875 mg)
  • Clavulanic acid (125 mg)

Contraindications

Clavulin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, or other beta-lactam antibiotics. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of jaundice or hepatic dysfunction associated with the use of amoxicillin/clavulanic acid.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those with a history of allergic reactions to antibiotics. It is important to monitor patients who develop diarrhea during treatment, as it may be a sign of pseudomembranous colitis.

Store at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
