Indications
Clauter (Cilostazol) is indicated for the treatment of intermittent claudication in patients with peripheral arterial disease. This medication acts as a phosphodiesterase type 3 (PDE3) inhibitor, resulting in vasodilation and reduced platelet aggregation, thereby improving blood circulation and walking performance in patients. It is important to mention that intermittent claudication is characterized by leg pain when walking, due to insufficient blood flow.
Composition
Each Clauter tablet contains 50 mg of Cilostazol as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
Clauter should not be used in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to cilostazol or any component of the formula. It is contraindicated in patients with congestive heart failure, as well as in those with bleeding or bleeding disorders. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Clauter to patients with a history of arrhythmias, kidney disease, or liver disease. It is essential to monitor blood pressure and the patient's general health status during treatment. It is recommended not to consume alcoholic beverages during treatment, as they may increase the risk of adverse effects.
