Indications

Clarithromycin is an antibiotic from the macrolide group, indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is used to treat respiratory infections such as community-acquired pneumonia, acute and chronic bronchitis, as well as paranasal sinus infections. It is also prescribed for skin and soft tissue infections, and is effective in the treatment of Helicobacter pylori disease in combination with other drugs. Its use is justified in patients with infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to its action, contributing to the eradication of bacterial infections and the improvement of the patient's health.

Composition

Each Clarithromycin tablet contains 500 mg of the active ingredient Clarithromycin, as well as the necessary excipients for the formulation of the medicine.

Contraindications

Clarithromycin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Clarithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics, or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients receiving certain medications that interact with Clarithromycin, as well as in those with severe hepatic insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those who present arrhythmias or heart rhythm disturbances. It is important to monitor liver and kidney function during treatment. Likewise, the possibility of drug interactions should be considered, so it is essential to inform the physician about all medications the patient is taking.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
