Indications

Cicloferonfco is an antiviral medication indicated for the treatment of infections caused by viruses sensitive to acyclovir. It is commonly used for the management of herpes simplex infections in their genital and labial forms, as well as for the treatment of varicella-zoster virus infections, which cause chickenpox and herpes zoster. It is also used in the treatment of cytomegalovirus (CMV) infections in immunocompromised patients. This medication can be used in the management of herpetic encephalitis and in the prophylaxis of viral infections in patients undergoing immunosuppressive treatments.

Composition

Each ampoule of Cicloferonfco contains 250 mg of acyclovir in the form of an injectable solution.

Contraindications

It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to acyclovir or any of the excipients in the formulation. Caution should be exercised in patients with kidney disease, as acyclovir is primarily excreted renally.

Precautions

Renal function monitoring is recommended in patients receiving Cicloferonfco, especially in those with a history of kidney disease or in concomitant treatments that may affect renal function. The use of acyclovir may cause adverse reactions in the central nervous system, so caution should be exercised when administering to patients with a history of neurological disorders. Likewise, dehydration should be avoided during treatment.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
