Indications
Cicloferon Suspension is indicated for the treatment of viral infections caused by herpes simplex virus, including cold sores and genital herpes. It is also used in the treatment of varicella-zoster virus infections, as well as in the prophylaxis of infections in immunocompromised patients. This drug can be used in the treatment of viral diseases in pediatric patients, always under the supervision of a healthcare professional. It is important to consider that the efficacy of the treatment may vary depending on the severity of the infection and the time of its initiation.
Composition
Each 5 ml of Cicloferon Suspension contains 200 mg of Acyclovir as the active ingredient. In addition, it contains excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the product.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Acyclovir or any other component of the formula. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other antivirals.
Precautions
It is recommended to use Cicloferon Suspension with caution in patients with kidney disease, as there may be an increase in drug levels in the body. Likewise, its use should be evaluated in patients with dehydration or those with neurological disorders.
