Indications
Cialis is indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction in men. This condition is characterized by the inability to achieve or maintain an erection adequate for satisfactory sexual intercourse. Tadalafil, the active ingredient in Cialis, works by increasing blood flow to the penis during sexual stimulation, which facilitates an erection. It is also used to treat the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men, helping to relieve problems such as difficulty starting urination and the need to urinate frequently.
Composition
Each Cialis tablet contains 20 mg of tadalafil as an active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, and other components that facilitate the formulation of the product.
Contraindications
Cialis is contraindicated in patients who are hypersensitive to tadalafil or to any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in combination with nitrates or nitric oxide donors, as this can cause a dangerous drop in blood pressure. It is also contraindicated in men who suffer from severe heart disease or who have had a recent stroke.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with cardiovascular diseases, erection problems of non-psychological origin, or those who are undergoing treatment with other medications that may interact with tadalafil. It is essential to carry out a medical evaluation before starting treatment to rule out contraindications and determine the appropriate dose.
