Indications
Celebrex is indicated for the treatment of acute pain, and the relief of symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. It is also used in the management of pain associated with primary dysmenorrhea and in the short-term treatment of acute postoperative pain. Celecoxib works by inhibiting the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, which reduces the production of prostaglandins, responsible for inflammation and pain. Its use should be considered in patients requiring anti-inflammatory and analgesic treatment, and who present an adequate profile according to medical evaluation.
Composition
Each Celebrex capsule contains 200 mg of celecoxib as active ingredient. Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and other inactive excipients.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to celecoxib or any component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with active peptic ulcer or gastrointestinal bleeding. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe heart failure and in those who have had allergic reactions to other NSAIDs.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or liver disease. Medical follow-up is important in patients who present gastrointestinal symptoms during treatment. Use in pregnant and breastfeeding women should be evaluated by a healthcare professional.

Store at room temperature between 15 and 30 ºC. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
