Indications
Celebrex is indicated for the treatment of acute pain, treatment of osteoarthritis, treatment of rheumatoid arthritis in adults, and in the management of pain associated with primary dysmenorrhea. Additionally, it is used in the treatment of ankylosing spondylitis and in reducing the risk of polyposis in patients with familial adenomatous polyposis syndrome.
Composition
Each capsule contains 200 mg of celecoxib as the active ingredient. Excipients: sodium, starch, gelatin, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to celecoxib or any of the excipients. It should not be administered to patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other NSAIDs, active peptic ulcer, severe heart failure, or severe kidney disease.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, renal or hepatic insufficiency. It is important to monitor renal and hepatic function during prolonged treatment. The possibility of gastrointestinal bleeding should be considered in patients with a history of ulcers or inflammatory bowel disease.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
