Indications

Carimpa (Zolmitriptan) is indicated for the acute treatment of migraine attacks with or without aura in adults. This medication acts on serotonin receptors in the brain, which helps relieve headaches and other symptoms associated with migraine, such as nausea and light sensitivity. It is important to use Carimpa at the onset of a migraine attack to achieve the best results. Its use is not recommended for the prevention of migraine episodes. A doctor should be consulted before starting treatment, especially if migraine episodes occur frequently or if symptoms change in nature or severity.

Composition

Each Carimpa tablet contains 2.5 mg of Zolmitriptan as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medication.

Contraindications

Carimpa is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Zolmitriptan or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with coronary heart disease, uncontrolled hypertension, or those who have had a stroke or cerebral ischemia. It should not be used in combination with certain medications, such as monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases, as Zolmitriptan can cause vasoconstriction. Medical follow-up is recommended if unusual symptoms occur after administration of the medication. In addition, excessive use of Carimpa should be avoided to prevent the development of medication overuse headaches.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
