Indications
Captral is indicated for the treatment of arterial hypertension, as well as in the management of congestive heart failure. Additionally, it is used in the prevention of diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 1 diabetes mellitus. Captopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, which acts by lowering blood pressure by relaxing blood vessels. This medication may also be useful in the treatment of conditions such as acute myocardial infarction and renovascular hypertension.
Composition
Each Captral tablet contains 25 mg of captopril as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Captral is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to captopril or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered to patients with a history of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor treatments. It is contraindicated in cases of bilateral renal artery stenosis or renal artery stenosis in a single kidney. Furthermore, its use during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, as well as in those with a history of cardiovascular diseases. It is important to monitor renal function and blood potassium levels during treatment. Dose reduction should be considered in elderly patients.

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
