Indications
Canesten V 500 mg ovule is indicated for the treatment of vaginal infections caused by fungi, specifically by the Candida fungus, which causes vulvovaginal candidiasis. This medication is effective in reducing symptoms associated with these infections, such as itching, burning, and abnormal discharge. Its use is recommended for women who present symptoms of candidiasis, as well as for those who have been diagnosed by a physician. It is important that the treatment is carried out according to medical instructions to ensure its effectiveness and prevent recurrence.
Composition
Each ovule contains 500 mg of clotrimazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Canesten V 500 mg ovule is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or to any of the components of the formulation. Its use is not recommended during menstruation or in case of vaginal infections of non-fungal origin.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients who are allergic to other antifungals. If symptoms persist or worsen after using the product, a doctor should be consulted. Its use is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women without first consulting a healthcare professional.
