Indications
Canesten V Dual is indicated for the treatment of vaginal yeast infections, specifically those caused by Candida species. It is also used to relieve symptoms associated with these infections, such as itching, burning, and abnormal discharge. This medication combines the antifungal action of clotrimazole in ovules and cream for a more complete and effective therapy.
Composition
Each ovule contains 200 mg of Clotrimazole, and the cream contains 1% Clotrimazole as the active ingredient. Additionally, the excipients in the cream facilitate its application and absorption in the vaginal mucosa.
Contraindications
Canesten V Dual is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in the presence of vaginal lesions of non-infectious origin or in cases of sexually transmitted infections without proper medical evaluation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using this medication in pregnant or breastfeeding women, as well as in patients with a history of systemic diseases or endocrine disorders. It is advisable to make an accurate diagnosis before starting treatment to ensure that the infection is of fungal origin.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from direct light. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
