Indications
Canesten V Dual is a medication indicated for the treatment of vaginal infections caused by Candida fungi. It is effective in managing vulvovaginal candidiasis, relieving symptoms such as itching, burning, and abnormal discharge. The ovule is used for intravaginal administration, while the cream is applied externally to the affected area. This combination treatment provides a comprehensive approach by addressing both the internal infection and associated external symptoms.
Composition
Each ovule contains 500 mg of Clotrimazole. The cream contains 1 g of Clotrimazole per 100 g of cream.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Clotrimazole or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used for fungal infections in the uterus or in cases of sexually transmitted infections without proper medical evaluation.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of allergic reactions to antifungals, as well as when using this product during pregnancy and lactation. It is important to avoid the use of intimate hygiene products that may alter the vaginal flora during treatment. If symptoms do not improve after adequate treatment, a doctor should be consulted to re-evaluate the situation.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date printed on the package.
