Indications
Canesten 1% Cream is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by fungi and yeasts, such as: dermatophytosis, ringworm (tinea corporis, tinea pedis, tinea cruris), cutaneous candidiasis, and other superficial fungal infections. Additionally, it is useful in the treatment of fungal infections affecting the skin, such as athlete's foot and intertriginous rashes. It can also be used to relieve symptoms associated with these infections, such as itching, redness, and skin peeling.
Composition
Each 100g of Canesten Cream contains 1g of clotrimazole as the active ingredient. Excipients: Cetyl alcohol, propylene glycol, glyceryl stearate, mineral oil, purified water, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to clotrimazole or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be applied to open wounds or irritated skin.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using this medication in sensitive areas. If symptoms persist or adverse reactions appear, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. Pregnancy and lactation: if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, consult your doctor before using this product.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the product in its original packaging and out of reach of children.
