Indications
Candiflux (fluconazole) is indicated for the treatment of fungal infections caused by susceptible fungi. It is commonly used in the treatment of vaginal candidiasis, oropharyngeal candidiasis, and in the prevention of fungal infections in immunocompromised patients, such as those undergoing chemotherapy or who have had a bone marrow transplant. It is also effective in the treatment of cryptococcal meningitis in patients with HIV/AIDS. Medical consultation is recommended to determine the appropriate use and duration of treatment according to the type of infection and the patient's response.
Composition
Each Candiflux capsule contains 150 mg of fluconazole as the active ingredient, as well as the excipients necessary for the formulation of the medicine.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to fluconazole or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients receiving therapy with certain medications that interact with fluconazole, such as terfenadine, astemizole, and cisapride, among others. It should also be avoided in patients with severe hepatic insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, kidney problems, or those undergoing treatment with other medications that may affect the liver. Adequate monitoring is important in elderly patients or those with comorbidities. In case of adverse reactions, a doctor should be consulted immediately.
Storage
Store the medicine in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
