Indications
Caltrate 600+D is a dietary supplement indicated for the treatment and prevention of calcium and vitamin D deficiency in the diet. It is designed to help in the formation and maintenance of strong bones and teeth. It is especially useful in populations who may require a higher intake of calcium, such as postmenopausal women, the elderly, and those with insufficient dietary intake of these nutrients. This product may also be beneficial in the management of conditions such as osteoporosis. Vitamin D helps improve calcium absorption in the intestine and plays an important role in regulating calcium and phosphorus levels in the blood.
Composition
Each Caltrate 600+D tablet contains 600 mg of Calcium Carbonate and 400 IU of Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3).
Contraindications
Caltrate 600+D is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with hypercalcemia, severe kidney diseases, or intestinal absorption disorders. Its use is not recommended in patients with calcium kidney stones.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney stones, cardiovascular diseases, or those undergoing diuretic treatment. Monitoring of calcium levels in blood and urine is advisable during prolonged treatment. Overdosing should be avoided, as it can lead to adverse effects.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
