Indications
Caltrate 600+D is indicated for the prevention and treatment of calcium and vitamin D deficiency in adults. It is particularly useful in situations where increased calcium intake is required, such as in osteoporosis and in the prevention of bone fractures. It is also recommended for postmenopausal women and elderly individuals, where the risk of calcium deficiency is higher. The combination of calcium carbonate and cholecalciferol promotes calcium absorption, thereby contributing to the maintenance of healthy bones and teeth.
Composition
Each Caltrate 600+D tablet contains:
- Calcium Carbonate: 600 mg
- Cholecalciferol (Vitamin D3): 400 IU
Contraindications
This product is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the formula's components, in those with hypercalcemia, hypercalciuria, and in diseases affecting calcium and vitamin D absorption. Likewise, its use is not recommended in patients with certain medical conditions such as sarcoidosis or advanced kidney diseases.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with kidney diseases, as they may be at a higher risk of hyperstimulation of calcium metabolism. Interactions with other medications that may affect calcium and vitamin D levels should also be considered. Regular monitoring of blood calcium levels is recommended in patients using this product chronically.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light and out of reach of children. Storage temperature should not exceed 30 °C.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
