Indications
Caduet is indicated for the treatment of high blood pressure and for the control of elevated cholesterol and lipid levels in the blood. This medication combines two antihypertensive agents: amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, and atorvastatin, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. It is prescribed to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with a history of heart disease, as well as to improve the lipid profile in those with dyslipidemia.
Composition
Each tablet contains 5 mg of amlodipine and 10 mg of atorvastatin. Excipients: lactose, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, in those with active liver disease, severe kidney failure, or in pregnant or breastfeeding women. Its use is not recommended in patients with rhabdomyolysis or in those who are being treated with certain antifungals and antibiotics that interact with atorvastatin.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, myopathies, or in those who consume excessive alcohol. It is essential to periodically monitor lipid levels and liver function during treatment. It is recommended to inform your doctor about any medication you are taking to avoid interactions.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
