Indications
Buscapina Compositum is indicated for the treatment of abdominal pain and cramps, whether of gastrointestinal, biliary, or uterine origin. In addition, it is used to relieve pain associated with functional disorders of the digestive system and other types of smooth muscle spasms. The combination of hyoscine and metamizole provides an antispasmodic and analgesic effect that helps reduce discomfort and improve the quality of life of patients suffering from these conditions. It is important that the use of this medication is based on an adequate medical evaluation to ensure its efficacy and safety in each particular case.
Composition
Each Buscapina Compositum tablet contains:
- Hyoscine (10 mg)
- Metamizole (250 mg)
Contraindications
Buscapina Compositum is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those with a history of severe allergic reactions to other analgesics or antispasmodics. It is also contraindicated in patients with intestinal obstruction, glaucoma, myasthenia gravis, and in those with severe renal failure.
Precautions
Caution is recommended when using this medication in patients with liver problems, cardiovascular diseases, as well as in those with a history of coagulation problems. Prolonged use without medical supervision should be avoided. Likewise, the possibility of interactions with other medications should be considered, so it is important to inform the doctor about all treatments the patient is receiving.
