Indications

Bridion (Sugammadex) is indicated for the reversal of neuromuscular blockade induced by anesthetics during surgical procedures. It is specifically used in patients who have received a steroidal neuromuscular blocking agent, such as rocuronium or vecuronium, and rapid and effective recovery of muscle function is required. Its use is justified in clinical situations where prompt recovery of muscle tone is essential, such as in outpatient surgeries or procedures where recovery time is critical. Additionally, Sugammadex may be considered in patients with conditions that hinder the recovery of neuromuscular function.

Composition

Each Bridion ampule contains 100 mg of Sugammadex in a sterile solution, ready for intravenous use.

Contraindications

Bridion is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Sugammadex or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions after the administration of neuromuscular anesthetics.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with severe renal impairment, as the excretion of Sugammadex may be affected. Likewise, monitoring is recommended in patients who are receiving anticoagulants or who have a history of heart disease. Administration should be performed by medical personnel trained in controlled environments where adequate patient monitoring can be ensured during and after drug administration.

Storage

Bridion should be stored at a temperature between 2°C and 30°C, protected from light. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
