Indications
Bonadoxina is a medication indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with vestibular disorders, such as dizziness and vertigo. It is also used in the management of nausea and vomiting, especially those related to pregnancy, as well as in the treatment of motion sickness. Meclizine, an antihistamine, acts by blocking H1 receptors, which helps prevent and alleviate dizziness symptoms. Pyridoxine, also known as vitamin B6, complements the action of meclizine and is essential for the metabolism of amino acids and neurotransmitters.
Composition
Each Bonadoxina tablet contains:
- Meclizine: 25 mg
- Pyridoxine: 50 mg
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, as well as in those suffering from conditions such as angle-closure glaucoma, urinary retention, and advanced chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease, as well as in those who are being treated with other medications that may cause central nervous system depression. Its use in combination with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants is not recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
