Indications

Bolentax (Enoxaparin Sodium) is indicated for the prophylaxis and treatment of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). It is used in patients undergoing major orthopedic surgery and in those with reduced mobility due to acute illnesses. It is also used in the management of patients with acute coronary syndromes, both in its unstable form and in acute myocardial infarction without ST-segment elevation. Enoxaparin is an anticoagulant that primarily acts by inhibiting the coagulation pathway through the inhibition of factor Xa, which reduces clot formation in the venous system.

Composition

Each Bolentax syringe contains 80 mg of Enoxaparin Sodium, as well as excipients that allow for its preservation and stability. The formulation is designed to facilitate subcutaneous administration and ensure adequate absorption of the active ingredient.

Contraindications

Bolentax is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to enoxaparin, to any component of the formulation, or to other heparins. It is also contraindicated in patients with significant active bleeding, bleeding disorders, or in those who have undergone surgical procedures involving the central nervous system or the retina. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women without adequate medical supervision.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of peptic ulcer, uncontrolled hypertension, or in those who are receiving other anticoagulants. It is essential to monitor renal function, as the elimination of enoxaparin may be affected in patients with renal insufficiency. Monitoring of coagulation parameters is recommended for prolonged treatments.

Storage

Bolentax should be stored at temperatures between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius, protected from light and humidity. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
