Indications
Bojidar is used for the treatment of various conditions involving pain and inflammation. It is indicated in the management of acute pain, including postoperative pain and musculoskeletal pain, as well as in the treatment of chronic diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Its action is based on the selective inhibition of the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) enzyme, which reduces the production of prostaglandins, responsible for inflammation and pain.
Composition
Each Bojidar tablet contains 90 mg of Etoricoxib. It also includes excipients such as lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Bojidar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to etoricoxib or any component of the formula. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of active peptic ulcer, decompensated heart failure, and in those with a history of thrombotic events. It should not be administered during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, hypertension, or kidney disease. It is also important to monitor those who are being treated with anticoagulants or who are at risk of bleeding. Bojidar should not be used in combination with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
