Indications
Blaxitec is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis in adults and children 6 years of age and older. These symptoms include sneezing, itching of the nose and throat, runny nose, and nasal congestion. It is also used for the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria, providing relief from itching and the appearance of hives on the skin.
Composition
Each Blaxitec tablet contains 20 mg of bilastine as the active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the medicine. It is recommended to consult the package leaflet for detailed information on the list of excipients.
Contraindications
Blaxitec is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to bilastine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in pregnant or breastfeeding women without medical supervision. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe renal impairment.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Blaxitec to patients with liver diseases, as the metabolism of the drug may be affected. In addition, alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment, as it may enhance sedative effects. It is important not to exceed the recommended dose and to follow the instructions of the treating physician.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
