Indications
Bilina is indicated for the treatment of symptoms associated with Meniere's disease, including vertigo, tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and fluctuating hearing loss. Betahistine works by improving blood flow in the inner ear, which helps reduce the frequency and intensity of vertigo episodes. In addition, it is used in the management of vestibular disorders and in situations where improved circulation in the inner ear area is required.
Composition
Each tablet contains 24 mg of betahistine as an active ingredient. Excipients: starch, citric acid, talc, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to betahistine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with pheochromocytoma, as it may cause a hypertensive crisis.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with active gastric or duodenal ulcers, as well as in those with bronchial asthma. It is important to monitor the patient if adverse reactions occur. Use in pregnant or breastfeeding women is not recommended unless deemed necessary by a physician.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
