Indications
Biconcor is indicated for the treatment of essential arterial hypertension in adults. The combination of bisoprolol, a beta-blocker, and hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic, acts synergistically to reduce blood pressure. This medication is particularly useful in patients who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy. It may also be beneficial in patients with a history of cardiovascular disease, as it helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular events by controlling blood pressure.
Composition
Each tablet contains:
- Bisoprolol (as fumarate) 5 mg
- Hydrochlorothiazide 6.25 mg
Contraindications
Biconcor is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with a history of bronchial asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, severe bradycardia, second or third-degree heart block, decompensated heart failure, and during pregnancy and lactation, unless otherwise indicated by a physician. Its use in combination with certain medications may be contraindicated, so it is advisable to consult your doctor.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of kidney disease, diabetes mellitus, or liver failure. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is also suggested during treatment. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment without consulting a doctor is not recommended, as this can cause an increase in blood pressure.

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
