Indications
Biconcor is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. The combination of bisoprolol, a beta-blocker, and hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic, acts synergistically to reduce blood pressure. This medication can be used as initial treatment or in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with a single antihypertensive drug. Biconcor can also be used in patients with stable chronic heart failure, in combination with other medications, to improve heart function and quality of life.
Composition
Each Biconcor tablet contains:
- Bisoprolol: 2.5 mg
- Hydrochlorothiazide: 6.25 mg
Contraindications
Biconcor is contraindicated in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to any of the formula's components, severe bradycardia, second or third-degree AV block, decompensated heart failure, sick sinus syndrome, and bronchial asthma or severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Its use in patients with severe renal or hepatic insufficiency should be evaluated with caution.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with diabetes mellitus, as bisoprolol can mask the symptoms of hypoglycemia. Likewise, regular monitoring of blood pressure and heart rate is recommended during treatment. It is important to avoid abrupt discontinuation of the medication, as it can lead to an increase in blood pressure or hypertensive crises.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
