Indications
Bexavital (Imipramine) is indicated in the treatment of major depression and affective disorders. It is also used in the management of anxiety disorders, as well as for the treatment of nocturnal enuresis in children. Imipramine works by balancing neurotransmitters in the brain, which helps improve mood and reduce anxiety. It is recommended that treatment be carried out under the supervision of a doctor, who will assess the suitability of the medication according to the patient's needs.
Composition
Each Bexavital tablet contains 25 mg of imipramine, as well as excipients necessary for the formulation of the tablet.
Contraindications
Bexavital is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to imipramine or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to patients who have recently suffered a myocardial infarction or to those with severe heart disease. Likewise, its use in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) is contraindicated.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of seizures, liver or kidney disorders, as well as in those receiving treatment with other antidepressants. It is important to inform the doctor about all medications being taken, including over-the-counter medications and supplements. Likewise, it is recommended to monitor for the appearance of adverse effects, especially at the beginning of treatment or when modifying the dose.
