Indications

Berodual aerosol is indicated for the treatment and prevention of bronchospasms in chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD) and asthma. It is particularly useful in cases of acute asthma, as it combines two active ingredients that act synergistically to facilitate the opening of the airways. Ipratropium bromide acts as an anticholinergic bronchodilator, while fenoterol is a beta-adrenergic agonist that relaxes the muscles of the airways. This allows for better pulmonary ventilation and a reduction in dyspnea symptoms.

Composition

Each dose (1 inhalation) of Berodual aerosol contains 20 mcg of ipratropium bromide and 50 mcg of fenoterol. Additionally, it contains excipients that facilitate the administration of the medication through the aerosol system.

Contraindications

Berodual is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula or to other anticholinergics. Its use is not recommended in patients with tachyarrhythmias or in those with a history of recent myocardial infarction.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Berodual to patients with cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, or diabetes. It is important to monitor the response to treatment and consider dose adjustments if adverse effects occur. Likewise, excessive use of the aerosol should be avoided, as it may cause undesirable systemic effects.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep the aerosol in a dry place away from direct light. Do not expose to temperatures above 50 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
