Indications
Benadryl is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of allergies, such as seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, as well as in the management of urticaria symptoms and other allergic skin reactions. It is also used for the treatment of common cold symptoms, such as sneezing, itchy nose and throat, and runny nose. Additionally, diphenhydramine can be used as a sedative in situations of occasional insomnia and to prevent and treat nausea and dizziness associated with motion.
Composition
Each Benadryl tablet contains 25 mg of diphenhydramine as the active ingredient. Excipients: corn starch, magnesium stearate, and other excipients.
Contraindications
Benadryl is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to diphenhydramine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with angle-closure glaucoma, urinary retention, and in those who are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Benadryl to patients with chronic respiratory diseases, hypertension, and in those with liver or kidney diseases. This medication may cause drowsiness, so it is recommended to avoid activities that require mental attention or motor coordination during its use. Its use in combination with alcohol or other central nervous system depressants is not recommended.

Store in its original container at room temperature, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.
