Indications
Baycuten is indicated for the treatment of skin infections caused by fungi and for the relief of associated inflammation and itching. It is especially effective in the treatment of inflammatory dermatoses with fungal superinfection. It is used in cases of ringworm, cutaneous candidiasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and atopic dermatitis. The combination of Clotrimazole, an antifungal, and Dexamethasone, a corticosteroid, not only combats the infection but also reduces the inflammation and discomfort associated with these conditions.
Composition
Each 100 g of cream contains: Clotrimazole 1 g and Dexamethasone 0.04 g. Excipients q.s. 100 g.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to the components of the formula. It should not be applied to viral, tuberculous, or mycobacterial skin lesions. Do not use in systemic fungal infections. Its use is not recommended in patients with perioral dermatitis or rosacea.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when used on large areas of skin or for prolonged periods, as it may increase the risk of systemic adverse effects. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. In case of irritation or allergic reaction, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Its use in children without medical supervision is not recommended.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
